Written input for the Declaration on the Future Generations by 22nd January 2024 with a focus on the following questions:

  1. What are the principles that should ground our commitments in the Declaration on Future Generation? 

  2. What practical steps are needed at the global Level to take future generations systemically into account? 

  3. What should the Summit aim to achieve so that we live up to our obligations to future generation?

Chapeau

This paper has a link to the author's work on the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Namibia UN4WN initiative submitted in December 2023.

The paper is prepared as a set of structured theses respecting the timeframe of prescribed questions: principles for a timespan till 2050, steps to the goals of the Agenda for Sustainable Development till 2030, and specific tasks proposal notes to Summit of the Future to be held on 22 and 23 September 2024.

The paper Follows the author's notes to the UN Summit SDG, on September 2023. Underlines the need and proposes as the "red thread" of this timeline three areas of the highest interest:

  • Global Human Adaptation (GHA)

  • Global Digital Technologies (GDT)

  • Global Human Adaptation (GHA)

The attached set of images complements theses related to the individual questions mentioned above (to be assigned). This is the same graphic support already used in the background according to the assignment from the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Namibia submitted in December 2023.

  1. What are the principles that should ground our commitments in the Declaration on Future Generation? 

  • Humans prefer an anthropocentric set of own rights over their partners' power, rights, and long-term existence in the Great Triad (GT).

  • GT is a model for a broader understanding of complex relationships, their hierarchy, priorities, and synergy in and between all three Objects: Earth, Nature, and the Human.

  • GT is open to reacting on comprehensive solutions to all risks in the Object called the Human, e.g., on the growth of a never-ending economy, the risk of fatal war conflicts, or the global trade as on an ecological bomb.

  • GT is a platform of the challenge to contemporary philosophical views, religious roots, and scientific methods to take care of the added value and sustainability of the Object called the Human in this unique GT partnership.

  • Present philosophy misses its vision, science is looking for feedback on its mission, religions prefer to sustain at their roots, and searching for a communicative language to harmonize the material and spiritual worlds is still unsuccessful. How does this discrepancy stand in the GT environment? How do I find the needed SHIFT?
    It is why this paper challenges the philanthropy and consulting industry to develop and implement the New Project Paradigm (NPP) widely form for individuals, teams, and collectives in organizations, projects, and communication worldwide.
    An approach to the common understanding: we need a new "toy" as inspiration to wake up to the present status and reflect on the new thinking. Wars are not a good toy.

  • The paper challenges all citizens living in urban, peri-urban, and rural areas on the democratic principles of their leaders and voters' principles. Nobody in the GT environment takes care of us humans, so we must take the self-care reality seriously. If we prefer democracy, only the leader-voter system is the dominant standard tool. 

  • Therefore, the principle of this paper is a will to understand and recognize one's responsibility for monitoring, educating, and observing our life in the GT and rebuild the system of our responsibility for the selection (nomination) of politicians, leaders, and managers, and request the assurance of their readiness to take personal responsibility for their operations in the voting cycles in democratic societies (in the Self-Powered Communities).

    Philosophy (GHA): Global risks and SDG strategy (tactic) from MDG to SDG, next steps.

    The new millennium started new approaches to the philosophy (perception) of the basic sustainability needs of Man in an environment with Nature on Earth. From the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), a program that called for the gradual elimination and reduction of the developing world's biggest problems defined in eight fundamental goals, to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

    It is the right path, which is not sufficiently attractive for the philosophical thinking of the current generation. The main problem is in global communication.

    Methodology (GDT): Three Objects of the Great Triad (GT) and Self-Powered Community (SPC) Methodology

    The methodology is a system of methods and principles concerning one's and its surroundings. For example, how to find your position for well-being, security, and long-term sustainability in the global environment of the Great Triad. Or, in detail, in the provinces, in a specific place, how 7-10 billion persons can build and consolidate their positions in the distribution system of Self-Powered Communities worldwide.

    Responsibility (GFA): Body blood and a case of money circulation systems

    How do we find our position for well-being, security, and long-term sustainability in the global environment of the Great Triad? For example, we find that the inspiration is close to or directly in us—for example, the money. We can see it is the strongest glue of people in the Object called the Human. This glue can help him/her resist external threats. It is the core message of the GFA preparation, implementation, and worldwide anchoring.

    Kuhn’s Cycle Model

    A new science entrance into present global thinking is needed. It is still being discussed. On the other side, such an entrance is no "piece of cake," as Kuhn's Cycle indicates. The most critical is if we know what we are asking for.

    The Paper proposes the Self-Powered Concept (SPC), which indicates the Dynamic Diagram based on the SPC Diamond (an example of a model of the worldwide rules), how to use, manage, and continuously develop what the Human needs (in a nutshell expression: to take care of the Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Economy (3E) of his/her humility behavior in the GT environment.     For multi-party communication, the author of the text suggests using diagrams (graphical support of data flowing in discussions). It distinguishes between discussions aimed at setting up new or revising existing processes (about their logic and functionality) and discussions tied to evaluating and weighing the quality and quantity of data at milestones in the debate on sets of cycles.

    Each discussion conducted in this way (within these diagrams) allows you to record the content of the data at the beginning, the data flow during the debate, and finally, to get an overview of the quality and volume of the data at its end).

  1. What practical steps are needed at the global level to take future generations systemically into account?

  • 2a) The new UN Charter (technical specification)

    Everything that humans do, they do mainly through organizations, projects, and communication. It develops, improves, and uses these tools, primarily through developing ICT technologies. In the same way, the GT environment can be perceived as an organizational structure with its principles (laws of nature and the universe) to which the Human Object belongs, with its need to organize itself and think about his/her future (thanks to its second signal system). The result is that the third generation already has its organization and is developing it (e.g., in periods of 30 years).

    We have the UN, which is good, and all discussions are empty about this fact. The UN needs to reflect on the development trends of the penetration of the Object of the Human into the structures of the other two Objects, Nature, and the Earth, in the Space environment. The UN is thus in the role of coming of age.  We also do not exchange children for others but care for their growth and development. It is about understanding the technology of life and securing the conditions for healthy and safe development, the development of any object.

    Technical (implementation) preparation is the primary data source for setting the sustainability vision and supporting it on its way to completing its mission. Suppose technical knowledge (analyses, research) will not prevent legislatively set processes (with links to packages of legal standards developed so far). The deep enough technical preparation increases the probability that the newly set processes will not depart from the basic principles valid in the GT.

  • 2b) The New Project Paradigm (NPP):

    NPP is the driver of the creation of a new environment. In the realm of pure technology, humans invented the wheel and, later, the car. Both had many synergistic effects. In the technology of running organizations, projects, and communication, it is the development of ICT and the introduction of AI. It brings many synergy effects that are still in front of us. The NPP reacts to the inputs of new technologies. It is an idea on two levels.

    The SHIFT that we need is about start-ups and intellectual advocacy. The initial level focuses on the needs of LIC and on the motivation of others who can help, who participated, and a reason to cooperate exists. Intellectual advocacy is associated with preparing and disseminating GHA, GDT, and GFA Scripts (basic scenarios) for this collaboration.

  • 2c) SDG finalization:

    The defense of many activities enshrined in the MDG and SDG programs deserves more profound attention because this direction is right; no one can think of another. It can undoubtedly be improved if the "Leaders-Voters" system becomes more functional. 

    During the completion of the SDGs program, we cannot rely on the changes in the "Leaders-Voters" system. We have to go, again, to the challenge of stakeholders, primarily philanthropists, and those others with the resources and the will to help in such situations.

  • 2d) The image Chapter II. The financial flow principle of the three pillars (Governance, Economy, and Budget) for the object (Organizations, Projects, and Communication) operations on the global, state, and provincial (local) levels.

    The image seeks solutions to international peace, security, and economic issues. It provokes a model everyone knows from their body and sees in living nature (their heart, lungs, and brain). It elaborates on Responsibility (GFA) according to the previous image. It deals with the main elements of financial architecture in the structure of three key elements: budget, governance, and economy. It is a new perspective on money circulation in organizations, projects, and communication.

    The primary difference compared to today's practice is that the budgeting process (budget) has two inputs and two outputs linked separately to the tasks of "Governance" and "Economy." The "Governance" block is the "lungs" of the circulation of "generated" money, which revives and "activates" it into groups more organizationally prepared for use in the "Economy" block.

    It means that the governance and economic issues are split by a rule (the first is preparation and then can come implementation) in the decision-making processes. It respects the hierarchy and prioritization of needs in a money flow from an individual's pocket to the global needs of the whole, and the opposite.

    It allows financial flows to be organizationally strengthened by orientation to 3E parameters. They enter the system of preparation and implementation (evaluation) according to the needs (projects) of organizations, projects, and communication in the economic environment in each locality and worldwide.

    Standardization, unified scaling, and widespread digitization are the main added value potential hidden in this idea. The feasibility of this idea is open and should be widely negotiated. The image below offers the possibilities of such a perceived standardization.

  • 2e) The image Chapter III. Hierarchy of tasks of the GFA, GDT, and GHA scripts and the role of the mark of the SPC Diamond mechanism.

    This image aims to indicate the content of the new financial flow approach. What position do they have in our cognition systems, and how will they be anchored in the scrips (GHA, GDT, and GFA) development? It offers a principle for organizing the main components of the vision and the mission of the upcoming summits concerning the transformation of stakeholders from As-Is to To-Be.

    It is a path (cycle) from the digitization of processes (organizations, projects, communication) through their evaluation (grading) and transformation of projects (worldwide in the spectrum of SED, DRR, and HA), specifically their preparation, implementation, and operations stages.

    The expected SHIFT is that People in the GT environment will manage their development tendencies and support the ways of directing their development activities in the GT through technology that is developing for themselves, not for self-destruction.

3. What should the Summit aim to achieve so that we live up to our obligations to future generations?

  • 3a) The new UN Charter (technical specification):

    Justification of the need to strengthen the UN Charter's function, in the sense of a substantial (not formal) declaration of the rights to life on planet Earth. In this case, the power underlines the importance of the primary, typical (unique) document by which the current residents of their countries and provinces, their super-cities, towns, and countryside declare and demonstrate their willingness to fulfill the goals related to their lives in the GT environment.

    To fulfill the goals set themselves, discussed and agreed with the promise that the UN bodies, on behalf of the Charter, will initiate, motivate, and navigate organizations, projects, and communication in the world in the time frame of concrete steps to 2030, for plans in the long term to 2050 and his visions of the 21st century.

  • 3b) Script process finalization

    The technical (implementation) document, in the sense of "How to do it," is considered for the drafting of three Scripts, procedures, and ways to find the viability and sustainability of the UN Charter. The Paper is a call to start work on the Script file (GHA, GDT, and GFA) as a parallel work on reflections on strengthening the functions of the UN Charter.

    It is a typical task for a bold decision, which corresponds more to philanthropists' mentality than established administrative structures. Logical processes need conservative catalysts, but start-ups need different financial impulses and environments.

    Its time frame, stages, and study of practicality and feasibility of the Script should be subordinated to the writing of this approach in the conclusions of the Summit for the Future, 2024. It calls for intensive work in a new international and interdisciplinary team and a solid connection for communication with the public.

  • 3c) SDG Web-Portal development and operations

    The technical (implementation) document, in the sense of "How to do it", is considered for the drafting of three Scripts, procedures, and ways to find the viability and sustainability of the UN Charter. The Paper is a call to start work on the Script file (GHA, GDT, and GFA) as a parallel work on reflections on strengthening the functions of the UN Charter.

    It is a typical task for a bold decision, which corresponds more to the mentality of philanthropists than to established administrative structures. Logical processes need conservative catalysts, but every start-up needs different financial impulses and environments.

    Its time frame, stages, and study of expediency and feasibility of the Script should be subordinated to the writing of this approach in the conclusions of the Summit... It is a call for intensive work in a new international and interdisciplinary team and a strong connection to communication with the public.

    The justification for the need to work on strengthening the function of the UN Charter and starting work on the preparation, elaboration, and dissemination of a common document in an atmosphere of belonging to all stakeholders can be supported by the involvement of joint ICTs, in the beginning with proven procedures. At stake is mastering the tandem of work on the MDG and SDG programs.

    The joint effort of the programs is to focus on solving the most serious problems of human society and, at the same time, the unsettling result in terms of set expectations. The MDGs kicked off the SDGs, and the SDGs must become the forecourt for further steps.

    We are not at the end of the SDGs, let's say. that we have 18 months at our disposal. This is enough time to create the necessary arguments and evidence for them. You just need to make good use of this time fund.

    SDG, his Progress Chat 2023 looks like a comprehensive work on the one hand, but for transformational processes, e.g. in the spectrum of GHA, GDT, and GFA, it has only supplementary value. It is interesting to see the findings mentioned in this monitoring report, but what and how to proceed? This is not a reason to stop this approach, it is the responsibility of the authors how attractive they are to complete their work.

    That is why I return to the opportunity of the coming 18 months (4+6 from 2024 and .6+2 from 2925) and how to use this time to process two, parallel-linked topics:

    • Build and start operating an SDG Web portal targeting LICs and their participation in SDG. Supplement today's data (see SDG Progress Chart 2023) with additional data on the preparation and implementation of projects, which would be added to more detailed (pre-prepared) catalog sheets and described on the website of the portal and communicated with each other about their projects. for the construction of content and control mechanisms of this communication, I offer SPC Concept, yoke segments SPC Drivers for project preparation procedures, SPC Utility for their implementation methodology, and SPC Diamond for setting structures in projects for the application of new technologies for internal financial controls, internal audit and loss prevention and misuse of financial resources allocated to projects. 

      For this, it is appropriate to contact the governments of the LIC and Local Government Units (LGUs) of the provinces and invite the cooperation of local universities and philanthropists from the position of preparing both Summits. As complicated as it sounds, it's quite simple. Success depends on the initiative of LIC and their cooperation. Web portals can offer them the creation of this environment, its development and evaluation must be ensured by themselves.

    • In parallel with the construction of the SDG portal for LIC, there is an opportunity to jointly develop some projects and test the viability of standardization of process (organizational) procedures and standardization of products, services, and construction works under LIC conditions.

    Both proposals have a form of an offer, and I web are waiting for a response of the stakeholders from LIC.

  • 3e) The image Chapter IV. The added value of communication "On the Square" for life at the local and global level and its impact on youth and the adaptation of future generations to the environment of the 21st century.

    The image represents a person (individual, team, collective) operating in organizations, projects, and communication structures under the information "umbrella" of several layers. In the planar projection, these are layers of data spheres (files of data boxes) with a fully spherical (global) shape of services for organizations, projects, other things, and any personal needs. It is not a "Speaker's Corner" but a "Globe Square" for everyone to participate from anywhere and of any age. It will create new jobs.

    New program pieces should be understandable, cultured (intellectual and entertaining), funny, concerning local roots, and with filters that eliminate fraud and fake news. Young people and future generations will get the opportunity to find themselves, improve their minds, and improve (stabilize) their knowledge through communication and meeting people from different contexts.

    The image is supplemented by the Dialectic Diagram draft that reminds financial impacts and leads readers to consider "revenue - cost" and "expenditure - yields." Such a communication environment is built "step-by-step." In an appropriately scaled and managed rank and the digitalization technologies climate, any interested side to present can be there and gain the asking profit (for individuals, teams, and collectives).

  • 3f) The image Chapter V. Milestones, agendas, and overview of expected results of preparation, implementations, and operations for the "Governance Transformation" task in the Great Triad (GT)

    Chapter V's image presents the global governance transformation process in three phases: preparation, implementation, and operations. It indicates the need for systemic coverage of growing needs, iteration towards simplicity, and appreciation of the potential for exploitable synergies on the path to UN4WN.

    Proposes milestones (linked to 2030 Agenda) of team support of the current UN practice (e.g., via Leader's Dialogs) and offers to supplement it on an expanded proposal of Task Force (TFs), Working Groups (WGs) networks aimed at consensus on assigned and solved tasks and Expert Services (ES) aimed at clarifying the details that burden individual tasks.

    The image comments on milestones of the Grading Diagram separately for agendas and results. It presents two types of teams: Intellectual Capacity Team (ICT) and Sources Transformation Team (STT).

    The role of the ICT is to put the base and test the New Project Paradigm (NPP) on a local level in provinces of Low-Income Countries (LIC) in close cooperation with others. The role of the STT team is to map and prove the feasibility of this approach in the planned time framework worldwide.

General note

Please, the organizers of the stakeholders' participation in the Summits 2024 and 2025 challenges, add Philanthropists to the list of addressed stakeholder groups. It is vitally essential for a start-up of new yet unestablished practices.
